There is going to be an explosion in Chicago, an explosion of music, of color, of delicious food, of arts and an explosion of fun at the 30th Anniversary African/Caribbean Festival of Life. And to make it even better, it’s been combined with the Jerk, Seafood & Vegan Fest. It also includes the return of the “Carnival of Nations,” with countries/islands of the African/Caribbean diaspora.
The International Festival of Life (IFOL) will be happening on July 1, 2, 3 and 4, 2023, at Washington Park, 55th Street and South Cottage Grove in Chicago. Festival hours will be from noon to 10 pm daily. This is a cultural celebration featuring the best of Jamaican, Caribbean, African and American entertainers as well as food, arts, crafts, games and much more.

At the festival, you can enjoy the aromas of jerk chicken, fish, pork, vegetables and more that will be grilling. You can expand your palate with the diversity of flavors that can be found at the festival. This is an opportunity to try something you’ve never had before. The food at the festival is really delicious.
A General Admission ticket will get you into the festival and give you access to the vendors and the entertainment.
