Wild Florida
If there is a hidden gem in Central Florida, it would have to be Wild Florida. Take a step back in time and see what Central Florida looked like before it was discovered and developed. See the natural beauty of the area in its natural state. Explore a pristine marsh that is unchanged from what it was 200 years ago.
Wild Florida is in Kenansville on Lake Cypress in the headwaters of the Florida Everglades. It is 45 minutes from Kissimmee.
Drive-thru Safari
Take the Drive-thru Safari. Drive your vehicle down gravel paths and see more than 100 animals native to Florida plus exotic animals from around the world. You could see American bison, eland antelopes, zebras, peacocks, scimitar oryx, watusi, mouflon sheep, and more.
Giraffe Feeding
Meet, greet, and also feed giraffes on the elevated Giraffe Feeding Platform. This makes for fun and amazing photos for social media.
Airboat Tour
The airboat tours provide you with a unique opportunity to see Florida’s native wildlife and foliage up close from the water. Glide through the water as you observe the plants and animals that make up the Florida Everglades ecosystem. Disappear into beautiful marshes and swamps. See alligators, turtles, eagles and other wildlife that live in these waterways.
Alligator Park
Wild Florida’s Alligator Park will give you a chance to see and learn about even more animals. Explore the habitats of these animals. The young and the young at heart will love feeding the baby animals in the Petting Zoo. There’s also a covered playground where the kids can play and burn off some energy.
Animal Care
The animal care team workers can tell you what it’s like to work with these fascinating animals. They will be happy to answer all your questions. Wild Florida offers interactive programs. You can become an animal keeper for a day. Also, you can take selfies of animals and team members during an animal encounter.
Hawk Swamp
Explore Hawk Swamp which features hawks and owls and a cypress tree lined boardwalk. See what the swamps of Central Florida looked like before they were developed.
Animal Encounters
Wild Florida has a variety of unique animal encounters in Alligator Park. You can get up close with animals inside the exhibit. A member of the animal care team will accompany you as you feed and perform an enrichment activity with the animal. Current animal encounters include

Wild Florida has 50 alligators that were donated to the park. Florida law provides for the capture of nuisance alligators. Then they must be given to a park or zoo or euthanized. Crusher is the largest alligator in the park. There is a Crusher Show and a Gator Feeding Show. See how high the alligators can jump out of the water.
