Arizona’s Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium, & Safari Park

Wildlife World Zoo is home to the largest collection of exotic animals in Arizona.  It is located in Litchfield Park outside of Phoenix.  Wildlife World Zoo is home to more than 600 separate species plus shows, rides, and a petting zoo.  We’ll go over all the different sections of this amazing place.  And we’ll tell you how to get a coupon to save you money on admission!


Big Cats

All the big cats of the animal kingdom can be found at Wildlife World Zoo!

Baby Animal Nursery

Okay, this has got to be the most adorable exhibit at the zoo!  I mean, how cute is a baby African lion cub?

Small Mammals of the World

Speaking of cute animals, there are some pretty cute animals at the Small Mammals of the World Exhibit.  Here you can see small monkeys, bats, rodents, and more.


Sea Lions

Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium is the first place in Arizona to exhibit sea lions.  Visiting here means you can see Sunny, who was the first sea lion born in Arizona.

Diversity of Life in Water

This exhibit is where you can find fish, reptiles, and amphibians from the Amazon, the Caribbean, the South Pacific, and more.

River Monsters

You can see real-life river monsters up close in this exhibit.  You’ll be able to see how beautiful they can be – and how terrifying!

Safari Park

Wildlife World keeps getting bigger and better.  The all-new 15-acre Safari Park is a great example of this!

At Wildlife World Zoo’s Safari Park, you will feel that you have entered an African savanna!  There’s even an optional tram ride to take you through animal exhibits.

Found at the Safari Park are:

Adventure Land

Adventure Land is a new 15 acre exhibit.  This is where you can find some amazing North, Central & South American animals.

Some of the animals at this exhibit include:

Dragon World

Dragon World is a new exhibit that features giant ectotherms.  Ectotherms are reptiles who use their environments to control their body temperature.

In addition to the great animals, Arizona’s Wildlife World Zoo has rides that make visiting zoo an even better experience!

African Safari Ride

The African Safari Ride is a 5/8-mile long narrated ride.  You will be taken through the recreated plains of Africa.  You’ll see endangered antelope, ostriches, gazelles, and more.

Australia Boat Ride

On this boat ride, you’ll see animals you would see in Australia.  This includes gray & red kangaroos, an albino wallaby, and the flightless emu.

Safari Tram Ride

This is where you get to ride through the new Safari Park.  Along the way, you’ll see amazing animals:

  • Wildebeest
  • Warthogs
  • Ostrich
  • Sitatunga antelope
  • Watusi cattle
  • Sable antelope
  • Addra gazelle
  • Kudu
  • Springbok
  • Beisa oryx

You will also other birds and primates during your tram ride.

Flume Ride

This is such an amazing new ride!  It’s a log flume ride surrounding three primate islands.  You’ll not only go past aquatic animals but through Aquarium’s south pacific reef tunnel tank, which is the longest acrylic tunnel in Arizona.  Then you splash down three stories!


This is a great ride where kids can ride on their favorite zoo animals – and you can take a much-needed break!


A great way to get an amazing view of the park is on the Idearc Media Skyride, where you’ll ride through the treetops.

Soaring Eagle Zip Ride

The Soaring Eagle Zip Ride is 100 feet high and 650 feet long.  Another great way to see animals from up above!

Other Rides
