With the Fourth of July quickly approaching, it is a time when we reflect on our own appreciation for the freedoms we experience by living in this country.  And for that, we are so grateful to all the brave citizens who have served or are currently serving in the military.  So it is really great to appreciate these wonderful people.

So that is why it is so wonderful that the Colorado Rockies have an upcoming Military Appreciation Day.  It takes place Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Coors Field in Denver, Colorado, when the Colorado Rockies play the Detroit Tigers.

And since it is Military Appreciation Day, the Colorado Rockies are extending their gratitude by selling lower-level tickets for $6!  This is only of course available for active-duty military members, veterans, and their families.  And tickets are limited, so you’ll need to buy your ticket ASAP.  You’ll need to buy your tickets through GovX.  You can find out how to buy the tickets here.

Now, if you do not qualify for this special ticket price, but you still want to come to the game and support the military, you certainly can.  And there are tickets starting at $10 here.

Now the first pitch for this baseball game is at 1:10 PM.  But you’ll want to arrive at the game early because that’s when the festivities for the event begin.  And they have a lot of great stuff planned.

  • Pregame Parade around the Warning Track for all veterans, active-duty military members, and their families
  • Pregame salute from multiple military branches
  • National Anthem performance
  • Large flag on-field presentation
  • A special performance of God Bless America during the 7th-inning stretch
  • Hero of the Game recognition
  • And more!

And by the way, if you qualify for the pre-game parade and want to participate, information will be emailed to you after you purchase the ticket before the game.
