Imagine a day sitting outside in a beautiful park, listening to the sounds of some of the country’s best Blues Bands. Now add to that the taste of award winning barbecue, cooked low and slow. Can you imagine a better way to spend a Saturday? I know I can’t.
You can do just that at the 10th annual Blues & Bones Festival. It is coming to the Calaveras Fairgrounds in Angels Camp, California.
The Blues & Bones Festival is an outdoor event. The fairgrounds are set on natural rolling hills. There are trees for shade and it’s lovely there. You can bring low back chairs and blankets. This is a family friendly event and children 12 and under will get free admission.
Performers
The Blues & Bones Festival features some of America’s hottest traveling Blues Bands plus some local favorites. The concerts will begin at noon. The performer lineup is
12:00 to 1:30 pm
Casey Hensley
Casey and her band are known for their ability to cross Blues subgenres, like swing, jump and Chicago Blues. You’ll hear hits from their new album “Good Is Gone.”
2:00 to 3:30 pm
The Blues Cartel Featuring Jeramy Norris
This Blues group is from Stockton, California. Jeramy wows audiences with his soulful vocals and guitar skills. He is backed by “The Dangerous Mood” with Peter Heckett on drums and Chip Yeager on bass. You’ll hear riveting original songs plus recharged classic Blues favorites.
4:00 to 5:30 pm
Chris Cain
Chris offers a Memphis style electric Blues. Audiences love his powerful deep vocals and jazz inspired Blues guitar riffs. You’ll hear hits from his 12 albums.
6:00 to 7:30 pm
Dennis Jones
A Blues artist from Los Angeles, California, you’ll hear sizzling hot guitar solos plus smooth and soulful vocals. You’ll enjoy his high energy stage performance.
7:45 to 9:00 pm
Artist Jam Session
Barbecue
The “Bones” of the festival refers to slow cooked, delicious barbecue. Enjoy sweet, tangy or spicy barbecue prepared by award winning Pit Masters. In addition to barbecue, other food vendors will have ice cream, popcorn and more fun food for purchase.

Angels Camp, California is 39 miles from Modesto, 42 miles from Stockton, 63 miles from Sacramento, 87 miles from Fremont and 89 miles from San Jose.
