Have you ever wanted to visit Cuba? Well, now you can visit Cuba without ever leaving Los Angeles. Yumbu Productions is presenting the annual Cuban American Music Festival. It is happening on Sunday, June 4, 2023, at the LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes, aka LA Plaza.
The Cuban American Music Festival will showcase Cuban cuisine, culture, art, music and dance. Discover the rich heritage of Cuba.
Performances
Three musical groups will be performing at the festival, including
- Club Mambi is a music group that fuse traditional rhythms from Latin America with digital sounds in original compositions. Its members included Onier Bacallao on trumpet, Maga Shukaron on vocals, Angelo Salazar tres, Santiago Gonzalez on bass and Emi Desire on percussion.
- Trombor is a new Salsa Orchestra in Los Angeles created for the listening pleasure of music and dance fans. Trombor is presenting the iconic sound of New York’s Latin neighborhoods during the birth of salsa.
- Yordamiss “Tribute to the Cuban Divas” – Of Cuban nationality, she’s known as “The Salsa Storm.”
Festival Schedule
- 11 am – Doors Open
- 1:30 pm – Club Mambi
- 3:30 pm – Trombor
- 5:30 pm – Yordamiss “Tribute to the Cuban Divas”
Enjoy delicious Cuban food and drinks. See artwork from Cuban artists. Enjoy listening and dancing to Cuban music. Cuban cigars will be at the festival for you to enjoy.
