The oom-pa-pa is back in Long Beach, California, with the 3rd annual Oktoberfest celebration. Enjoy Bavarian fun, Long Beach style.
Oktoberfest Hours
- Friday, October 20 – 5 pm to 10 pm (for 21+)
- Saturday, October 21 – Noon to 5 pm (for all ages)
- Saturday, October 21 – 5 pm to 10 pm (for 21+)
- Sunday, October 22 – Family Day – Noon to 7 pm (for all ages)
This is a celebration of all things Bavarian. You can enjoy traditional Bavarian beers straight from Munich as well as local beers. The festival will be serving the most popular Oktoberfest beer, the Paulaner Golden Oktoberfest Beir.
Authentic Bavarian food will also be served. Eat and drink as if you were in Bavaria. There will be vegetarian and vegan items.
Entertainment Schedule
- Ladyhosen on Saturday from 1 pm to 4 pm
- Christopher Wonder Magic Show on Saturday from 4 pm to 6 pm and Sunday from 1 pm to 2 pm
- Festmeister Hans Und Die Sauerkraut on Friday & Saturday from 6 pm to 10 pm and on Sunday from 2 pm to 6 pm
- Dachshund Derby with SoCal Weinerfest on Sunday from 12:30 pm to 1 pm
Festmeister Hans Und Die Sauerkraut will get the party started and keep it going. Audiences enjoy his silly antics and his original parody videos. He’ll play a mix of traditional and modern music. Hans will have sing-alongs, dance-alongs, the Chicken Dance, wacky games and contests.
Each day there will be a Steinhoist Contest. You’ll have a chance to hold a beer in your outstretched hand and arm longer than any other mortal. And each day there will be the DAS BOOT Contest. You and four of your friends can compete against another team in a beer guzzling contest.
Guests are encouraged to wear lederhosen dirndls and other festive German attire. You can find a selection of these here.
