And that exhibit is National Geographic – Beyond King Tut: The Immersive Experience!
Beyond King Tut gives guests the ancient Eygpt experience by skillfully using immersive multimedia. You’ll feel like you’ve traveled back 3,000 years ago to a period when King Tutankhamun ruled Egypt and people worshipped gods like Anubis and Ra.
The exhibit uses real artifacts of one of the greatest archaeological discoveries of all time. And that is the discovery of King Tut’s tomb one hundred years ago. But it goes beyond just showing artifacts. This award-winning VR experience also uses photography and larger-than-life multimedia. This helps guests see all the exquisite detail and artistry of these artifacts. National Geographic’s Beyond King Tut has nine unique galleries that help tell this exceptional story. It’s narrated by Hugh Bonneville (Downtown Abbey) and directed/produced by Joel Newton. Another great thing about the exhibit is its accessibility. You can use wheelchairs, mobile scooters, canes, etc.
Event Dates & Hours
National Geographic’s Beyond King Tut opened in Los Angeles at Magic Box LA on October 7, 2022. It was originally supposed to run through December 31, 2022. But it was extended and will now run through February 26, 2023.
It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. On Wednesdays through Fridays, it runs from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM with the last entry at 7:00 PM. On Saturdays and Sundays, it runs from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM with the last entry at 8:00 PM.
Since it was extended beyond its original run, you can tell it is popular. So you’ll want to buy your ticket ASAP before it sells out.
