Looking for a great place to have breakfast at Epic Universe? Then I suggest Cafe L’air de la Sirene! This is a quick-service restaurant at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter section of Epic Universe. My family loved our breakfast there. We get into why we love Cafe L’air de la Sirene, including the restaurant’s theming, decor, food, and drink selections, in this review.
Theming
Cafe L’air de la Sirene is part of the third Wizarding World section of Universal Orlando theme parks. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Universal Studios Florida theme park is themed to Diagon Alley, and its main restaurant is Leaky Cauldron. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Islands of Adventure theme park is themed to Hogsmeade, and its main restaurant is Three Broomsticks. I’d had breakfast at both of these restaurants before Epic Universe even opened; you can read our Leaky Cauldron breakfast review here and Three Broomsticks breakfast review here. I love the British theming of both of those restaurants and how faithful the recreations are to the original Harry Potter movies.
Now, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter section of Epic Universe is much different. It is themed to the streets of Paris in the 1920s and the Fantastic Beasts movies. You can read more about it in our Epic Universe Wizarding World Guide.
And while I love the British theming in the other parks, I love the change of pace of the French theming at Epic Universe. The menus at Leaky Cauldron and Three Broomsticks are pretty similar, so it’s great having a different menu at Cafe L’air de la Sirene with an emphasis on French cuisine. The decor inside is also very different.
Decor
Speaking of the decor, I absolutely love the decor of the restaurant. It has a beautiful, upscale vibe that perfectly fits the theming. While Leaky Cauldron and Three Broomsticks can be a bit dark, Cafe L’air de la Sirene is bright.

Personally, I love the inside of the restaurant and eating inside, but you can eat outside as well.

The bonus of eating outside is that you can feel as if you are sitting at a Parisian cafe and that is a very neat feeling. Though a big advantage of eating inside is that it is weatherproof. So, your call, really.
Either way, you are treated to delicious food and drinks.
Food & Drink Review
Which brings me to the food and drinks, the most important part of any restaurant experience. Luckily, there are good options here.
Let’s start with the menu item that most made me want to try this restaurant, and that is the Bièraubeurre Crêpe. Bièraubeurre, by the way, is the French way to say Butterbeer. You may recognize Butterbeer if you’ve ever been to the other Universe parks or if you’ve read about it in the Harry Potter books or seen it in the movies. This crepe essentially incorporates Butterbeer into the menu item.
I am not exaggerating when I say it is one of the best breakfast menu items (or menu items!) I have had at any restaurant at a theme park (or perhaps any restaurant, period).

This crepe consists of:
- Bièraubeurre cream (that’s what really makes this crepe stand out!)
- Shortbread cookie butter Bavarian cream
- Strawberries
- Bièraubeurre drizzle
- A shortbread cookie garnish
If you love Butterbeer, you will love this. All the tastes blend together perfectly. I am not ashamed to say I was scraping the plate for every last bite. It is truly delicious. Even the cookie with the name of the menu item was soft and edible (and delicious!).
It comes with a drink, which you don’t always see. I chose to add a butterbeer drink to my order, and it came with a small cup of butterbeer. Now, if you order butterbeer separately, you’ll get a bigger cup.

But the smaller cup worked fine for breakfast.
If you need that kick of caffeine in the morning, then you can order a coffee with your meal.

While most of my family ordered the Bièraubeurre Crêpe, we did have one who is not much of a breakfast person and wanted something lighter, and there are menu items for anyone like that. She got a croissant.

It was great! We asked for butter for the croissant and they brought it out so if you order this and want butter, you can just ask for it.
There are other menu items you can try (such as the Quiche Lorraine, Jambon Beurre, Crêpe Parisienne, etc.), but we recommend the Bièraubeurre Crêpe. Not only is it delicious, but it really fits the Wizarding World theme.
Conclusion
So if you are looking for a place to have breakfast at Epic Universe, then I highly recommend Café L’air De La Sirene. It has a wonderful atmosphere, great decor & theming, and delicious food and drinks (especially the Bièraubeurre Crêpe!).
Additional Tips
If you are planning on eating at Café L’air De La Sirene at Epic Universe, here are a few tips to make your day even better:
- If you are also planning on doing the Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry attraction during your day at Epic Universe, then do this before breakfast. The lines to this ride get insanely long, and your best bet at getting a shorter line is if you line up for it immediately (especially if you are staying at an on-site Universal Orlando hotel and you take advantage of their Early Park Admission policy).
- You will need a ticket to get into Epic Universe, even if you have an annual pass. You can find out how to get discounted Universal tickets here.
