There is something magical this time of year when the sun goes down. That’s when the Christmas lights will come on at Winter Wonderlights. It’s Northwest Indiana’s favorite holiday lights show. They’re now celebrating their sixth year of fun! It opens on November 28, 2025.
Winter Wonderlights is a beautiful drive through holiday light show offering a magical experience for all ages. A mesmerizing world of colorful lights cover over a half of a mile. The lights are accompanied by holiday music that you can get on your car radio.
If you’d like to kindle your holiday spirit by enjoying a dazzling spectacle of lights, Winter Wonderlights is the place to be! They’ll add a mega dose of Christmas cheer to your holidays.
As you drive along, you’ll see one Christmas tree after another, all decorated beautifully and all different. Drive through tunnels of light surrounded by lights of all different colors. You’ll feel like a kid on Christmas morning as you are mesmerized by these gorgeous light displays.
As you drive along, you can see the lovely holiday lights from your car. You can also have the heat on during the drive, so you can stay warm.
You’ll look out on a breathtaking landscape of colors. Strings of lights will form symbols of winter and the holidays. You’ll see snowmen, stockings, reindeer, stars, toy soldiers, snowflakes, elves, candy canes and so much more.
Whimsical characters will come to life through the beautiful lights. Be prepared to be awed and delighted! This is really a not to be missed Christmas extravaganza.
You cannot leave your car to take pictures of the light displays. This is for your safety and the safety of others.
If you would like to purchase a keepsake photograph of your family, tell the staff at the gate. A staff member will take a picture of your group in your vehicle surrounded by the glowing lights. Then you can download it online afterwards. It is a great way to remember your night of lights.
Winter Wonderlights only allows for normal sized passenger cars, SUVs, trucks and minivans. They cannot accommodate limousines, buses, duallys, vans or RVs. Their maximum clearance is 8 feet.

Winter Wonderlights believe kindness and compassion are at the heart of the holiday season. Each year, they donate a portion of their proceeds to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital for their mission to find cures and save children’s lives

Winter Wonderlights takes place this year in Crown Point, Indiana. Crown Point, often referred to as the “Hub of Lake County”, is close to Merrillville, Winfield, Cedar Lake, St. John, Schererville, and other places around Lake County.
