Wilderness at the Smokies Ice Skating
The Wilderness at the Smokies has a wonderful holiday tradition. From November 8, 2024, through January 13th, 2025, part of the wave pool will be converted into a 3,200 square-foot ice skating rink! It is a wonderful way to have fun together with your family and friends in a fun, seasonal way. The ice skating rink is decorated with holiday lights. And on Wednesdays guests can enjoy Winter Wilderland, where you can get a cup of hot cocoa or make a s’more during your time at the rink.
The ice skating rink is actually part of a larger holiday celebration.

Santa Meet & Greet
What’s Christmas without Santa? You’ll be able to get your picture with Santa! You can find Santa in the Winter Wonderland or at Santa’s Workshop at the River Lodge lobby during scheduled appearance times.
Santa’s Workshop
So you may be wondering what Santa’s Workshop at the River Lodge lobby is. Well, it is a place where kids can bring out their creative side. They can decorate cookies or write and mail letters to Santa Claus.
Story Time with Mrs. Claus
Santa won’t be the only Claus at Wilderness at the Smokies this year! You can see Mrs. Claus on select dates. She will be reading holiday season-themed stories in Camp Social.
Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland at Soaky Mountain
Soaky Mountain Waterpark across the street from Wilderness at the Smokies is celebrating the holiday season with their Christmas Wonderland Light Display in it is parking lot at nights until January 5th. They also have a Snowy Mountain Village inside the waterpark with great features like:
