The Lunar New Year celebration is returning to Disney California Adventure Park, and just in time for you to ring in the Year of the Fire Horse!  This Disneyland Resort event is a multicultural celebration that includes live entertainment, special culinary options, and a tribute to Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese cultures.  In this overview, we’ll go over what kind of festivities you can expect at the event – and how to save money with a discounted ticket.

Disneyland Lunar New Year Dates

But first, let me tell you when you can attend this event.  It runs from January 23, 2026, through February 22, 2026.

Disney Characters

But back to the festivities!

One of the highlights of visiting Disneyland in general is seeing your favorite Disney characters.  So, it is only fitting that for this event, you’ll get to see popular Disney characters dressed in their Lunar New Year gear!

This includes:

  • Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in Korean-inspired outfits
  • Donald and Daisy in Chinese-inspired hanfu styles
  • Goofy and Clarabelle wearing Vietnamese-inspired aó dài outfits
  • Horace Horsecollar in a Chinese-inspired ensemble

Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession

Join Mulan in honoring friendship, family, and the possibility of good fortune in the new year!

This bright, dazzling procession takes place multiple times during the day. You’ll see Mulan and other Disney friends, as well as costumed entertainers. Those performers include dancers, drummers, warriors, and a Chinese dragon puppet. And their march travels from Hollywood Land to Paradise Gardens.

Lunar New Year Marketplaces

What would a Disney festival be without delicious food?

A hack for saving money on your dream Disney trip
