The Taste of the Caribbean- Un Gout des Caraibes – returns to Montreal for the 25th anniversary edition to the Old Port of Montreal at the Clock Tower Quay. This will be happening on July 11 to 14, 2024, from 12 pm to 11 pm each day.
Entrance into the festival is free. It will feature live music, food, rum, dance, arts and more. The mission of the festival is to promote the diversity of Canada’s Caribbean culture to all audiences.
Festival Activities
Concert Zone
The Concert Zone features 4 days of Caribbean live acts of reggae, reggaeton, dancehall, Afro-Caribbean, soca, zook, konpa, calypso and EDM fusion.
Del Monte Dance Zone
Attendees can join in on interactive dance workshops. They can also watch electrifying performances of dance styles, including Cuban salsa, Dominican bachata, Haitian konpa, Trinidadian soca, Jamaican reggaeton/dancehall and more.
Kids Zone
The Kids Zone will have inflatable castles, face painting, small boats on a miniature lake, drums workshops and more, The Zone will have snacks for the kids and coffee for the parents.
Vendors
The Taste of the Caribbean (TOTC) will have food and merchandise. You can sample traditional and fusion dishes. You can find many unique items at the merchandise vendors stalls and arts and crafts kiosks.
Rum Zone
The Rum Zone is a festival favorite. Rum ambassadors showcase rum tasting sets. Sample curated sets of spiced and aged rums. There will also be mixology demonstrations showing how to mix classic cocktails.
