If you’re looking to try something new, I’ve got just the thing for you. The Japanese Sake & Food Festival is coming to the POST Market Houston on 401 Franklin Street. This will be happening on October 19 and 20, 2024.
Schedule
The Sake Festival is divided into 3 sessions:
- Saturday, October 19 – 12 pm to 4 pm
- Saturday, October 19 – 5 pm to 8 pm
- Sunday, October 20 – 2 pm to 6 pm
This will be a celebration of the best of Japanese sake and the local food selections. Indulge in a wide range of food dishes that will be paired with premium sake from renowned brewers.

Food vendors at the festival will include POST Market – International Food Hall and Tsujita Artisan Noodles.
Sake is known by most as a rice wine. However, it isn’t a wine. It’s literally a beer. Beer is an alcoholic beverage that is made by converting the starches in a grain into sugar. Then they are fermented into alcohol. And that is what is done with rice to make it into sake.
And here is an interesting fact – you won’t have a hangover from drinking sake.
Discount Tickets
If you are 21+ you will need an Adult Ticket. For ages 13 to 20, a Teen Pass is needed. For kids 12 and under, it’s free admission.
