If you only have one day in Tuscany, Italy then make the most of it with this Florence Super Saver Tour, which combines a walking tour of Florence with wine tasting in the world-famous wine region of Chianti.  These are 2 separate tours but by booking them together you will not only ensure you can get great sightseeing packed into one day, but you’ll also save 8% on the cost of the tours!

The day begins in Florence at the San Lorenzo market, where your guide will take you through romantic alleyways & medieval squares in Florence, where you’ll get to see:

  • the Basilica of San Lorenzo
  • Medici Chapels
  • Piazza del Duomo
  • Palazzo Bargello
  • Dante Alighieri’s former home
  • Piazza della Signoria
  • the Ufizzi Gallery
  • the Palazzo Vecchio

You will then break for lunch where you’ll get to have time to yourself eating and enjoying Florence.

In the afternoon, you will then leave Florence and see the beautiful Tuscan countryside, along with traditional farmhouses, Romanesque churches and stately villas, on your way to Chianti.  You’ll get a tour of a typical cellar in a winery in Chianti and you’ll be led on a guided tasting of 4 different wines paired with Tuscan snacks.

After that, you will visit the well-preserved medieval town of Greve and then head to another winery where you will get more tastings of both wine & local products.  You’ll get to then see the Etruscan hilltop village of Castellina before you head back to Florence at the end of the day.
