Holiday Afternoon Tea
Afternoon Tea during the holidays at The Peninsula Hotel is an annual tradition for many. The hotel’s 20 foot beautifully decorated Christmas tree and lavish holiday decor make this experience even more enjoyable.
Afternoon Tea features a traditional English Tea menu that includes
Finger Sandwiches
- Classic English cucumber sandwich
- Smoked salmon sandwich
- Organic egg salad
- Cranberry chicken salad sandwich
Fresh fruit is also on the menu and scones with house-made preserves and Devonshire clotted cream. You can also order petite seasonal pastries with choux, chocolate, and winter fruit creations. Vegan and gluten-free options are available.
Holiday Afternoon Tea is going now through January 9, 2021 with seatings at 2:30 pm and 4:30 pm. Pricing is $125 for adults and $55 for children.
Ugly Sweater Christmas Party
The Peninsula Hotel’s Bar Z will be hosting their annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party on December 11, 2021, from 8 pm to 1 am. Ring in the holiday season in your best or worst style. A DJ will get the party started. There is a $25 cover charge and you’ll get a complimentary glass of champagne. There will be an Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest with prizes in several categories. Reservations are suggested.
Christmas Eve Dining
Celebrate Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with special festive dining experiences. Enjoy Christmas Eve Dinner at The Lobby. A five course prix fixe dinner will be served featuring
- Wagyu
- Maine Lobster
- Scallops
- Peking Duck
This will be followed by a lavish dessert buffet. A band will be playing holiday favorites. The pricing is $205 per person with the option to add wine pairings for $65 per person. Children 12 and under can order from the children’s menu. Reservations are needed.
The Shanghai Terrace will be open on Christmas Eve with its a la carte menu. Z Bar will be open for holiday cocktails, champagne options by the glass and festive bites.
Christmas Day Dining
A Christmas Day Brunch will be served in The Lobby. It will be a four course menu with a la carte options and buffet items from these stations:
- Carving Station
- Prime beef Wellington
- Heirloom turkey
- Ora king salmon en croute
- Seafood Station
- Gulf shrimp
- Alaskan king crab
- East and west coast oysters
- Imported and domestic caviar
- Global Cheese and Iberian Ham Station
- Local and global cheeses
- Sliced to order acorn fed ham
- Decadent Dessert Buffet
Buffet seating will be from 12 am to 5 pm. Pricing is $275 per adult and will include a complimentary glass of champagne and $75 per child. Reservations will be needed.
The Z Bar will be open on Christmas Day for holiday cocktails, champagne options and festive bites.
