Get ready to step back in time. The parking area of DTE Energy Music Theatre in Detroit is being transformed into a prehistoric park complete with over 70 dinosaurs.
These dinosaurs are not statues. They move, roar and some of them walk. Each dinosaur was painstakingly reproduced in every detail in collaboration with leading paleontologists. Some of the dinosaurs have scales, some have feathers, while others are covered in fur.
You’ll see dinosaurs of all sizes, from the chicken-sized Microraptor to the 50-foot long Megalodon. The dinosaurs are true to detail. And size. See a Velociraptor, Pterodaustro, Dilophosaurus, Troodon, Tyrannosaurus Rex, and many more.
This is a drive-through event. You can enjoy these dinosaurs and their adventures in the comfort and safety of your own car or SUV. You stay in your car and have no worries about social distancing.
Your family will get a prehistoric passport to drive into the world of dinosaurs. On your journey, you’ll have your own audio tour guide to tell you about the dinosaurs you’re seeing and what they’re doing. Watch these animatronic dinosaurs moving and roaring in scene as you drive. They are thrilling, but not scary. The very realistic and interactive baby dinosaurs are so much fun to watch.
A dino doctor will be available via text to answer all your dinosaur questions. A free souvenir picture (one per vehicle) will be available online.
Jurassic Quest Drive Through Availability
Jurassic Quest Drive Through was one of the first attractions in metro Detroit after the onset of the pandemic last summer. Scheduled for two weeks, it was expanded to four weeks drawing over 125,000 patrons. Demand has been high this year, so don’t delay. Get your tickets while they’re still available.
