Have you ever watched fireworks from a battleship? If you live in or near Camden or want to go there for the fireworks, you can watch them from the deck of the USS Battleship New Jersey.

Experience the incredible views of fireworks over the waters of the Delaware River on Saturday, July 1, 2023, and on Tuesday, July 4, 2023.

The Battleship’s decks will be opening at 7 pm. Festivities will include live music and face painting. There will be food concessions and bar service. A $10 donation is expected from each person.

The VIP package includes beer, wine, soda and appetizers. A $100 donation is expected from each person.

Fireworks will begin at approximately 9:30 pm. You can watch the fireworks on the forcastle (forward deck) of the USS Battlefield New Jersey.

With the VIP package, you’ll watch the fireworks from 01 deck, one deck above the main deck.

Freedom Festival

You can also celebrate the 4th of July at Camden’s Freedom Festival. This is presented by the City of Camden and the Camden County Board of Commissioners. It will be happening on July 1, 2023, from 5 pm to 10 pm at Wiggins Waterfront Park.

Food vendors will be there with dishes, snacks and desserts available for purchase. Beverages, including beer, sodas and water, will be sold.

You can also enjoy live music during the festival.

Entertainment Schedule

  • 5 pm – Tri-Country Symphonic Band presents a Salute to America and its Veterans
  • 6 pm – Tara Hendricks – She’s part of the Philadelphia music scene with her powerhouse voice, contagious energy and charismatic repertoire.
  • 8 pm – UB40 are world famous reggae stars with 4 decades of international success. Their hits include “Red, Red Wine” and “I Can’t Help Falling In Love.”

At approximately 9:30 pm, attendees can watch the Fireworks Spectacular over the Delaware River.
