It’s back and it’s bigger and better than ever! The 4th annual New York City Winter Lantern Festival has transformed the Richmond County Bank Ballpark in Staten Island into a colorful world of light.
Take a Journey to the East with your family this holiday season. Explore a field of over 1,000 Chinese lanterns and hundreds of LED lights. These beautiful, elaborate lanterns are hand made by artisans who have spent decades perfecting their craft. LED lights inside the lanterns illuminate them.
The lanterns have been sculpted into amazing figures. You’ll see dragons, pandas, sea turtles, fish, flowers, Chinese gods and so much more. You’ll be impressed with their artistic beauty and master craftsmanship. This is the place to take spectacular Instagram worthy photos so be sure to bring a camera.
Joining the lanterns are LED light displays. You’ll go from one awesome light display to the next. Walk through an illuminated tunnel in this whimsical world of light. Enjoy the twinkling lights all around and above you. The night sky will be ablaze with color and light.
Food vendors will be there selling delicious holiday treats and snacks. Soft drinks, hot chocolate and beverages will also be available for purchase. Visit the Gift Shop for souvenirs and holiday gifts.
