A few weeks ago, my family visited Brunswick, Georgia. We were staying at Best Western Plus Brunswick Inn & Suites (you can read our review here). There was a handout in the lobby of the hotel listing directions to different nearby restaurants, so we decided to try a brand-new restaurant. And that’s how my family ended up at Broomelli Boys Pizzeria. And boy, are we glad we did, because we had a wonderful time! We want to tell you about it in our review of the restaurant.
Atmosphere
First of all, I really liked the atmosphere of the restaurant. It has a relaxed ocean vibe, which makes sense since Brunswick is the gateway to the Golden Isles of Georgia and their beaches. You can get this ocean vibe right away when you walk in the restaurant when you see the surfboards up in the lobby.
There are also surfboards up over the tables along with colorful, fun pictures.
There’s even a surfboard telling you where to order your food and drinks.
Here’s another example of the fun atmosphere of the restaurant. You make your order at the front of the restaurant and then you sit down and wait for your food to be ready. And you know how at some restaurants they’ll hand you a number so the server can find your table? Well, instead of giving you a number, they give you a picture of a pop culture icon! In our case, we got Freddie Mercury.
Another table got Stewie from Family Guy.
There was also a lot of room at the restaurant and lots of tables.
There was a TV, too, in case there’s a game on that you want to watch.
Drinks
Pizza may be in the name, but beer could also be in the name because they have a lot of it. There are a lot beer and wine options.

Red White

Appetizers
Broomelli Boys has some great breadsticks (or as they call them, breadstyx) which you can order as an appetizer. We got the Whitestyx.
These are breadsticks topped with feta and mozarella cheeses with fresh garlic, oregano, and parmesan. Now, I really love breadsticks. And I have high standards. But these were out of this world and far exceeded my expectations! I had never had Feta cheese on breadsticks before and I absolutely loved it.
Pizza
Once again, despite having pizza in the name, Broomelli Boys Pizzeria has more than just pizza. They have a lot of great Italian dishes like spaghetti and calzones. They have great oven-baked subs and salads.
But having said that, my family was in the mood for pizza. And they have a lot of great traditional pizza options as well as a lot of great specialty pies, like the Nor’Easter, the Boss Hog, and the West Coast White.
An interesting thing about their menu as far as pizza is concerned is the pricing. The cost of one individual slice is pretty cheap. It can range from $3.29 to $4.29. The next largest option is a medium pizza and that ranges from $13.59 to $17.59. So normally when you are having pizza with your family, it’s cheaper to share a pizza. But in this case, it can actually be cheaper if everyone just gets a slice. Especially since the slices are quite large. This is actually really great because it means everyone can get the pizza they want.
For example, only one person in my family wanted the Freaky Greeky. But we were able to get a slice for $4.29.
And boy were we glad we did. The Freaky Greeky is a great pizza. It has both Mozarella and feta cheese. It also has black olives, red onions, and Roma tomatoes over an extra virgin olive oil and fresh garlic crust. And it was delicious! It was such a great mixture of flavors. The only negative, though, was that ironically even though it had two different kinds of cheese, there was not as much cheese as my family would like. But this is a very minor complaint and we’d love to order it again.
I really loved the Flyin’ Hawaiian Pizza.
This is a specialty pizza with ham, pineapple, and white cheddar. You can also choose between jalapenos or banana peppers. I chose neither since I don’t like my pizza too hot and spicy. There was still pepper in the sauce so there was a bit of a spicy flavor to it, but I absolutely loved it. The pizza was really good. I definitely recommend this specialty pizza.
And to round out what my family ordered was the Pepperoni Pizza.
This was also very good.
Conclusion
Broomelli Boys Pizzeria is a great restaurant with a fun beach atmosphere, great pizza, reasonable prices, and a wonderful selection of drinks. It is also convenient to hotels like Best Western Plus and Comfort Suites Golden Isles Gateway. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Brunswick, Georgia.
