If you are looking for delicious burgers in Matthews, North Carolina, then look no further than Moo & Brew. This restaurant opened up its location in downtown Matthews a couple of years ago, and has quickly become very popular. My family has visited the restaurant numerous times, and I want to give you my thoughts on our experience. I’ll tell you whether or not I think it is worth it to visit this restaurant.
Food
I want to start by talking about the food, because in my opinion, if the food isn’t good, then a restaurant isn’t worth visiting.
But luckily, the food is amazing here! My family has ordered burgers every time we have visited and have always had a good burger.
One thing I love about the burgers here is that they have bison burgers! You don’t always get that at burger restaurants in Matthews, so I really love they have them. And the meat is just really good. It makes for a great burger. My whole family gets bison burgers except for one, but the one who doesn’t said the meat is great in those burgers, too.
I especially like the BYOB, or build your own burger. You get to choose your protein, bun, cheese, and sauce. You can also had extras. Some don’t cost (such as pickles, onions, and tomatoes). Some do cost extra (like avocados, a farm egg, and bacon). I love all this freedom. Burgers can be different from person to person.
I always love avocados in my burger, so I’ve added one. Avocados are often my favorite part of a burger. But here, the meat is so good I am not sure it is even needed. Not that it detracts of course. It’s just that all of the burger is so good!
One thing I don’t love about this restaurant is that French Fries do not come with your burger. It costs extra, but they make up for this by the fact that the French Fries are incredible. My family likes to order hand-cut fries tossed in white truffle oil, rosemary, and parmesan cheese for the whole table.
Waits & Seating
Because of how delicious the food is, I am not surprised how popular the restaurant is. But the negative there is that there can be long waits.
One way to try to avoid is this is to go on a less popular day. For example, we went recently on a Sunday night and had no wait.
Some of the seats are also very high. If you are tall, this can be a great thing. If you are short, this is a real negative. You can ask to be seated at a different table, but of course, that could increase your wait. So it is something to keep in mind.
Price
Eating here is by no means “cheap”. As I mentioned before, use pay seperately for French Fries so clearly there are no value meals here or anything.
But at the same time, it’s a bit less expensive than other restaurants in Matthews. And I think for the food quality you get, the price is worth it.
Conclusion
We love Moo and Brew in Downtown Matthews, and we recommend it highly.

- A lot of the seats are awfullly high, which is a pain if you are short
