They are California’s official state fish and a protected species.

You’ll have the opportunity to swim with La Jolla’s residents like bat rays, sea lions, Garibaldi fish (aka Catalina goldfish), shovel nose guitar fish and more. If you’re lucky, you might even get to swim with dolphins and sea turtles.
You’ll need to have swimwear. If motion sickness is a problem, motion sickness prevention medicine might be an option. If you are in a pair, you will be placed in a double kayak. No experience is needed for this tour, but you must be able to swim.
