Looking for a memorable way to explore the Key Largo National Marine Sanctuary during a trip to the Florida Keys? How about trying a snorkeling tour? I know of a snorkeling tour that is beginner-friendly and could be fun for the whole family. And I even know about a discount price available for it (more about that later).
But first, this is a tour provided by Sundiver Snorkel Tours. It is a shallow-water snorkeling tour, which is why it is so great for beginners. Please note, however, that I mean beginners when it comes to snorkeling. You must be able to swim in order to participate in the snorkeling. Any guest that cannot swim can stay on the boat; they’ll just need to pay a rider fee.
Your excursion begins with you arriving at the Sundiver Station in Key Largo. You’ll need to get there at least one hour before your start time.
This is where you will meet your guide and instructors. You’ll also get fitted for all your equipment. They provide a high-quality mask, safety vests, and fins or flippers.
Please note that they do not provide snorkels. You can purchase one before you go and bring it or you can buy it there. Please note if you do bring your own, do not bring a “full face” snorkel mask, as they are not allowed due to safety reasons.
You’ll then be ready to board the boat. You’ll be taken to the best snorkeling spots among the reefs off the Key Largo National Marine Sanctuary and Key Largo. Then it’s time to begin snorkeling! Beginners can get more instruction if needed. This is a wonderful opportunity to spot colorful fish and sea turtles.
