Today, I want to talk about how to save money when staying at Disney’s Art of Animation hotel. This is a topic I love to talk about. See, my family loves staying at Art of Animation when we visit Disney World. In fact, our last stay at Disney World was at one of Art of Animation’s Cars suites! We think you would love a stay there, too.
After all, Art of Animation is a wonderful on-site Disney World hotel for families. You can see my reasons why I think you should visit Art of Animation here.

Art of Animation is considered one of Disney’s “value” resorts, meaning that it is more affordable than other Disney hotels. But of course, this is relatively speaking. Multiple nights at Art of Animation can really add up – especially if you stay in one of the hotel’s suites.
If you’re planning a Walt Disney World trip in Orlando, Florida. and are considering staying at the Art of Animation Resort, here are 5 ways I think you can save money:
- Swagbucks: Swagbucks is an interesting way to save money on your Art of Animation stay because it’s something you’ll have to earn yourself. But you can earn Swagbucks by doing things like playing games and shopping online (we go over ways to earn with Swagbucks here). You can then use Swagbucks to buy Disney gift cards, and you can use those Disney gift cards for your hotel stay!
- Priceline: I have had a lot of luck recently getting discounted stays at Art of Animation by booking through Priceline. The rates were often cheaper than if I booked through Disney’s website with my passholder discount!
- Book through Hotels.com: I’ve also had luck finding good deals for Art of Animation through Hotels.com, especially when looking for a non-suite room. Art of Animation has mostly suites but there is one section (the Little Mermaid room) that has standard rooms. I have not only found that prices are often cheaper on Hotels.com, but there is often more availability than on Disney’s website.
- Undercover Tourist: I have not booked Art of Animation through Undercover Tourist yet, but I have booked a stay at Port Orleans French Quarter through Undercover Tourist. Which is to say that Undercover Tourist often has great rates for Disney hotels. So I always check this website when looking for a good deal. Another added bonus of booking through Undercover Tourist is that you can bundle your hotel with Disney World tickets. And that can save you more money.
- Kayak: Still not seeing a good rate? Well, you can check multiple websites at once through Kayak. So you might find a good deal there!
Other Ways to Save on a Disney World Trip
If you are planning a trip to Disney World, your stay at Art of Animation will probably not be the only expense of your trip.
