Butterfly Center
The Butterfly Center at the Houston Museum of Natural Science is amazing. Its Rainforest Conservatory is a 3-story glass structure that is built around a 50-foot waterfall. There you can find exotic plants and, as you would expect, hundreds of free-flying butterflies from around the world!
But that’s not all. There is an Insects and Us section where you can look into an entomologist’s lab and get at up-close look at the insect specimens. You also learn about beekeeping and butterfly gardening tips there.
And did I mention the Amazing World of Arthropods? That’s where you get to see amazing creatures like Houston’s largest cockroaches!
