Halloween Spooktacular is back at SeaWorld Orlando – and our SeaWorld Orlando Halloween Spooktacular 2026 Guide tells you what you need to know about the event.
Halloween Spooktacular is a kid-friendly event (especially when you compare it to SeaWorld’s after-hours scary Halloween event, which we tell you more about in our SeaWorld Orlando Howl-O-Scream Guide).
It takes place on select dates starting Saturday (August 29th). The last date of the event is November 1, 2026. Entry into the event is included in admission (by the way, we tell you how to save money on SeaWorld tickets here).
And you’ll definitely want to get a ticket if you enjoy good, kid-friendly Halloween fun. Because there are a lot of fun activities going on around the park. We’ll tell you about all the fun activities that are part of the event. And then we’ll tell you more about how you can save money on tickets!
Hotel Transylvania
This year is exciting because, for the first time ever, characters from Sony Pictures Animation’s Hotel Transylvania will be there! That means there are photo opportunities with Drac, Mavis and, of course, their monster friends.
Trick-or-Treat Trail

Kids can enjoy trick-or-treating on the trick-or-treat trail at SeaWorld. It takes place at select locations throughout the park. This is a really great, safe way to trick-or-treat during the day. All you need to do in order to trick-or-treat is to purchase a reusable trick-or-treat bag at the entrance of the Trick-or-Treat Trail.

Got kids with food allergies? At each trick-or-treat trail candy station, your kid can pick up a teal token. When you have completed the trick-or-treat trail, you can visit Coconut Bay Traders at the Key West area and turn in your tokens for allergy-friendly items.
Costumes
Trick-or-treating is just more special in costume, don’t you think? And all guests can now wear costumes to SeaWorld’s Halloween Spooktacular!
Please note a few things about costumes at this event:
- Normal dress code rules still exist (for example, you’ll still need to wear shoes)
- Guests are ages 13 and older can’t wear costume masks or hoods
- Face painting is not permitted unless it is done by a face painter at the event
Sesame Street Halloween Parade

Perhaps my favorite part of this event is the Sesame Street Halloween Parade! See popular characters like Elmo, Bert, Ernie, Cookie Monster, and Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Abby Cadabby dressed up in Halloween costumes. There are great Halloween-themed floats, kid-friendly Halloween music, and dancing. It’s just a lot of fun, even for adults like me.
You can see a video of the parade from a past year here:
Halloween Storytime with Big Bird
Who doesn’t love Big Bird? Who doesn’t love a great story? Well, combine the two with storytime with Big Bird!
Scarecrow Halloween Dance Party

Get your dancing shoes on at the kid-friendly Halloween dance party in they Key West area.
Meet a Mermaid

Have you ever met a mermaid? If you answered yes, first of all, congratulations! But even if you answered yes, have you ever met a Halloween mermaid? Well, here is your chance to do just that in the Key West area.
Pumpkin Garden

Everyone loves a good pumpkin garden. Especially one where you could see friendly pumpkin fish. Or run into the Storyteller as she reads stories in the garden.
Spooky Bubble Trail
Over in the Spooky Forest, you can find a Spooky Bubble Trial where kids can chase, play, and pop bubbles.
Monster Breakfast
There is a special event you can do at Spooktacular that costs extra, but can be a really, fun memorable experience. And that is Drac and Mavis’ Hotel Transylvania Monster Dread & Breakfast. You get to meet some new friends and enjoy an unforgettable breakfast. It’s even pretty affordable for a character breakfast in Orlando, with the prices starting at $35.99 (compare that with the prices at Disney World!).
They have a great assortment of breakfast foods, such as:
- Bacon
- Carved Ham
- Turkey Sausage
- Scrambled Eggs
- Biscuits & Sausage Gravy
- French Toast sticks
- Fresh Fruit
- Freshly baked pastries
- and more!
This breakfast takes place on Saturdays, Sundays, and select Fridays and Mondays at 9:00 AM on Spooktacular Days at Seafire Grill. You can book the breakfast here.
Another added bonus of this breakfast? For a limited time, you can get a free souvenir Hotel Transylvania cup with a child reservation!
