Today, I want to talk about how the fun things you can do at Dutch Wonderland in the fall during their Happy Hauntings Event and how you can save money on tickets there.
Now, Dutch Wonderland is a theme park I’ve talked a lot about before. We’ve talked about all the fun rides you can do at Dutch Wonderland here.
But did you know that it’s a lot of fun during the autumn season as well? Yes, during the fall, Dutch Wonderland is transformed into a, well, Halloween Wonderland! That is because it is the time for Dutch Wonderland’s Happy Hauntings event!
Happy Hauntings is a Halloween-themed event that is more family-friendly than outright terrifying. And you’ll still get to enjoy some of the summer fun you get at Dutch Wonderland. It’s just, with a Halloween and fall twist. A lot of Dutch Wonderland’s beloved rides and attractions are open for the event, including a few transformed for the season! Plus, in addition to this, there are extra fall activities that make visiting the park even more fun.
This event begins this Friday (September 19, 2026). It takes place on the following dates and times:
- Saturday, September 19: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Sunday, September 20: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday, September 26: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Sunday, September 27: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday, October 3: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Sunday, October 4: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Friday, October 9: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday, October 10: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Sunday, October 11: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Monday, October 12: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Saturday, October 17: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Sunday, October 18: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Activities
Trick or Treasure Trail
How can you have a Halloween event without trick-or-treating, right? A great cast of Halloween characters will be at the trick-or-treat trail at Happy Hauntings, so you can meet new friends while collecting delicious treats. Trick-or-treating takes place from 2:00 PM to 6:30 PM along the back path near Mill Creek.

Duke’s Spooktacular Dance Party
Duke the Dragon and his friends will be at Market Square. Grab your bubble wand and join them for at this fun nightly dance party. It takes place at 6:30 PM and then again at 7:30 PM.
By the way, this dance party is a great chance to show off your costume. And if you don’t have a costume yet for your child, you can find a great costume here.
Mayhem’s Amazing Hay Maze
Mayhem’s Amazing Hay Maze is afamily-friendly hay maze with unexpected twists and turns! You can find it over at Spooky Corner. It’s available from 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
Celebrate the Fall Storytime
Daniel Tiger from PBS Kids will host a special storytime at Neighborhood Stage at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM on select dates.
Trick or Squeak Puppet Show
Watch Sofia the Spider overcome her Halloween fears in this puppet show over at Celebration Theater.
There are four shows:
- 2:00 PM
- 3:30 PM
- 5:00 PM
- 6:00 PM
Not-So-Spooky Storytime
Beloved Dutch Wonderland characters will be reading not-so-spooky stories to guests in Market Square. It takes place at 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM.
The Central PA Ghostbusters
The Central PA Ghostbusters will be at Happy Hauntings on October 10th and 11th. They’ll be at the paranormal Glow-in-the-Dark Foam Party at 7:00 PM near Market Square. You can also get a photo with them.
Dine with PBS KIDS Daniel Tiger
For an additional price, you enjoy a pizza buffet lunch with Daniel Tiger. There will also be a meet and greet at the lunch that includes his Neighborhood Friends.
