Sky Trek
Did you know you can find the most exciting adventure west of Denver shockingly close to Denver? Yes, that adventure is the Sky Trek at Colorado Adventure Center! The Aerial Adventure Park impressively has over 60 elements, obstacles, and zip lines.
There are three distinct routes so adults and children of all experience levels can have fun here:
- Copper: Easy
- Silver: Intermediate
- Gold: Advanced
After each course, you zip back to the central tower. You actually get to reach heights of up to 50+ feet, which is awesome. But don’t worry – you’ll be in a harness and securely attached to a safety device at all times while you complete each obstacle.
Zip Line
The Colorado Adventure Center is also home to one of the highest, longest, and certainly most exhilarating zip lines in all of Colorado.
First, you’ll climb the 65’ towers. And then you get to soar over the treetops and the whitewater rapids of Clear Creek! It is an exhilarating experience that lists almost a mile. There are eight different lines in a row that can get to speeds of up to 40 miles per hour. You’ll zipline high above the ground the entire time. While you zipline, you’ll see surrounding canyons and rivers below, which makes for wonderful scenery.
Colorado White Water Rafting
The Colorado Adventure Center gives you an opportunity to raft down Colorado’s pristine, rushing rivers. And you get to do this surrounded by beautiful scenery. They’ve got trip available for anyone wanting to participate in white water rafting this year. You could take a scenic float where you can view wildlife or listen to nature. Or if you are more of an adventure seeker, you can take a heart-stopping whitewater rafting trip with heart-pumping paddling and crashing waves.

Location
The Colorado Adventure is conveniently located in Idaho Springs, CO. Idaho Springs is actually where gold was first discovered at the beginning of the Colorado Gold Rush back in 1859. It is minutes west of Denver and the Front Range and is part of the Denver-Aurora-Lakewood area.
