Ripley Falls is a gorgeous 100+ foot waterfalls flowing over a smooth rock wall. The wall is at an approximately 60-degree angle. The angle causes the rushing water to be in almost continuous contact with the wall. The water jumps away from the wall only at a few small places. Ripley Falls is one of New England’s steepest angled waterfalls. Enjoy the spectacular scenery of the beautiful White Mountains.
You’ll meet your guide in Bartlett. Your guide will outfit you with all needed rental gear and teach you to rappel. There will be a 20-30 minute hike to Ripley Falls. The trail is classified
As Easy/Moderate by White Mountain standards. Get to the top and rappel back down. You should be able to rappel down 3 times in this 6-hour adventure.
Rappelling is very safe when conducted properly and assisted by guides. A fireman belay from the bottom backs up all rappels making this an exciting adventure with minimum risk.
