Celebration of Lights
Do you love Christmas lights as much as I do? Then you will love the 13th annual Celebration of Lights! This is a great event where you can enjoy over 475 Christmas light displays. The displays are decorated over a 1-mile driving path. You can drive through and enjoy the beautiful holiday lights from the warmth of your own car.
And while this event has been going on for the past 12 years, this really seems like the perfect year to enjoy it. Because you won’t even have to worry about socially distancing when you are safely in your car! And with so many other holiday events canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s great that this event can still go on. And you can enjoy great family-friendly holiday fun safely. The Celebration of Lights takes place at Morris Park in Fairmont, West Virginia. You can enjoy the event on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM. It takes place throughout the holiday season from November 27, 2020 until December 27, 2020.
Not only is this event fun, but you’ll be supporting a good cause. The Celebration of Lights is a fundraiser for the United Way of Marion and Taylor Counties. The event is sponsored by the Rotary Club of South Fairmont. Last year the event raised $62,500 for the United Way. And what this means is that you can buy a ticket, have fun at the event, and feel good that your money is being put to good use!
