New York City is a top destination during the Christmas holiday season. The city is all decked out in wreaths, lights, garlands, stars, bows and so much more. People come to New York to see the Rockettes and the many other Christmas shows in the theaters. And the shopping in New York City is fabulous. Whatever it is you’re looking for, someone in the Big Apple will have it.

I did my Christmas shopping in New York City a few years ago and had a lot of fun doing it. And one of the things I most enjoyed was seeing the holiday window displays. I enjoy window shopping, especially during the holiday season, and I’ve done it in several different cities – Williamsburg, Orlando, Salt Lake City, Charleston, Albuquerque, Atlanta, Tampa, Washington, Jacksonville, Portland, Wilmington, and Birmingham, to name a few. In my opinion, New York City has the most elaborate, over-the-top, fabulous holiday windows of all.

If I’m able to get back to New York City during the holidays this year, the Holiday Windows Guided Tour In New York City is the tour I’d most want to take.

Tour Itinerary

This is a 90-minute walking tour. You’ll go on a Christmas adventure led by a knowledgeable, professional tour guide. You’ll go to Radio City Music Hall, home of the Rockettes, on Sixth Avenue. Then you’ll head to Rockefeller Center. See the stunning New York City Christmas Tree with over 30,000 lights. Watch the ice skaters gliding on the Ice Rink. Few things can get you in the holiday spirit like this can.

You’ll see the most visited cathedral in America, St. Patrick’s Cathedral. And all along the way, you’ll stop to see the gorgeous window displays in the stores. See Christmas extravagance that are literally works of art. Enjoy viewing the exquisite decorations and the expensive “goodies” they are promoting. Each window will seem lovelier than the last. Your guide will know where the most beautiful window displays are so you know you’re seeing the best of the best.

You will get to watch Saks Fifth Avenue come to life as the Disney adventure takes over the entire block. Saks and Disney have come together to delight everyone with dazzling “Frozen 2” inspired window displays. Throughout Saks’ center’s 6 theater-style windows, are displays and lights. Each window features a character from “Frozen 2” with the elements of wind, fire, water, and earth, themes central to the movie.
