Let there be light at the Los Angeles Zoo! Do you love Christmas lights? Then you’ll love the wild wonderland of lights at the L.A. Zoo this year. Animals Aglow is presented by The Angela Collier Foundation.
Take an unforgettable journey through the zoo. A large area of the zoo will be filled with wildlife inspired light displays, dynamic projections and lights and immersive interaction experiences. Capture some seasonal magic in their fabulous sites for photo ops. Take one instagram worthy picture after another.
Many of the light displays were inspired by the wild residents of the zoo. See elephants made entirely of lights, twinkling butterflies and multicolor giraffes. This year, there will be more animals than ever before. Enter a fantastical realm and see glowing lions, macaws, monkeys, tigers, meerkats and flamingos.
See new lantern sculptures of holiday wonders and larger than life animals. This holiday tradition is nature focused and breathtaking! You’ll see all new sights and, of course, Santa will be there. There will be packages for Photos With Santa.
Delight at sound reactive lights and illuminated singing displays. You’ll see beautiful Chinese lanterns and a shimmering wall of light. Wind your way through the 200 foot tunnel of a rainbow of dancing, twinking lights. You’ll see spectacular new additions – both high tech and hand crafted – that have joined the returning favorites.
There are a lot of great photo opportunities. This includes a cherry blossom-lined path, glowing ring swings, and a giant alligator, peacock, and bird wings.
Visit the Holiday Village for even more photo ops. You can also purchase seasonal treats, goodies and drinks. This includes hot cocoa and churros.
This not to be missed holiday light experience will run from November 15, 2025, through January 5, 2024.
Zoo Lights will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
This is the perfect holiday event for anyone who loves animals and beautiful lights! Your ticket purchase supports the Zoo’s efforts to save wildlife, create connections to nature and enrich the community.
Children under 2 are free. Parking is also free.
