WinterFest Wonderland Parade
A couple of years Carowinds theme park started a new holiday tradition, an event called Winterfest. Since Winterfest debuted in 2017, it has quickly become the premier Christmas event of Charlotte, North Carolina. Guests flock to the theme park to see the holiday decorations, shows, enjoy holiday treats and of course ride select rides.
But this year is even more special. And that is because Carowinds debuted a new holiday-themed parade! The WinterFest Wonderland Parade is a wonderful way to end your night at the Winterfest. It takes place at 9:00 PM each night of the event. The Winterfest Wonderland Parade starts at the North Pole Excursion. It then makes its way through Coca-Cola Polar Blaza, Jingle Bell Boardwalk, TInsel Town, Christmas Park, and Celebration Plaza. There is plenty of spots marked off to enjoy the parade so we were able to get a great seat without waiting a long time, which obviously we liked. You can see the parade in the below video:
This is a very kid-friendly parade that the whole family can enjoy together. The parade consists of singers, dancers, and great holiday music. There are also popular holiday characters throughout the parade, such as Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, Gingerbread Men, and even Jack Frost. My favorites were Santa and Jack Frost. They really interacted with the audience, which made the experience more enjoyable. But the best part for me was the floats and the lights. They were really well done.
