Santas On Segways – Holiday Tour

See San Francisco at its Christmas best from a Segway personal transporter.  Suit up as Santa and see this incredibly beautiful city lit up in celebration of the holidays.

Your tour will begin with a short safety briefing and practice riding your 2 wheeled self-balancing scooter.  You’ll be given a helmet with an attached Santa hat, a safety vest, Santa suit and beard, and a radio device which you’ll hear your guide’s commentary.  And then you’re off to see the festively decorated downtown.

You’ll hear all about San Francisco’s history, landmarks, and great Christmas traditions from your knowledgeable guide.  Ride your scooter through Little Italy.  Learn about the origins of this historic neighborhood as you admire the lovely seasonal decorations.

Stop at Washington Square and learn about the Beat poets and artists and their counterculture movement.  From there, you’ll go to one of the oldest neighborhoods, Chinatown.  Glide through the lantern-lit streets and see the beautiful temples.

Next, you’ll travel to the San Francisco Bay Bridge which will appear to be covered in tinsel.  What you’re actually seeing is “The Bay Lights,” a work of art displaying 25,000 white LED lights that shine from dusk to dawn.

You’ll continue along the Embarcadero and see the four towers with over 17,000 light and pass the Bay Area’s largest ice skating rink, the Holiday Ice Rink with its festive lights.

Glide past the huge festively decorated Christmas tree at Ghirardelli Square.  The Transamerican Pyramid and the Ferry Building are all decked out for the holidays.

Get stunning views of the historic ships on the Hyde Street Pier and see Alcatraz in the distance.  Holiday decorated cable cars will pass you on your journey.

You’re sure to be impressed with the 60-foot white fir Christmas tree at PIER 39.  The iconic Fisherman’s Wharf sign will be decorated with strings of lights which makes for a great picture.
