Disney fans, great news! The Lunar New Year celebration is returning to Disney California Adventure Park!
This joyous festival is a wonderful way to ring in the Year of the Snake. It’s a multicultural celebration that includes live entertainment, special culinary options, and a tribute to Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese cultures. The special event runs from January 17 through February 16, 2025.

Disney Characters
You’ll see popular Disney characters dressed in their Lunar New Year gear appear at the festival. In the past, this has included the Three Little Pigs, Mulan, and Mushu. You should also look out for some of the Turning Red characters in Lunar New Year inspired outfits.
Plus, this year Minnie and Mickey Mouse will be wearing all-new colorful outfits inspired by traditional Korean attire!
Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession
Join Mulan in honoring friendship, family, and the possibility of good fortune in the new year!
This bright, dazzling procession takes place multiple times during the day. You’ll see Mulan and other Disney friends, as well as costumed entertainers. Those performers include dancers, drummers, warriors, and a Chinese dragon puppet. And their march travels from Hollywood Land to Paradise Gardens.
Lunar New Year Marketplaces
What would a Disney festival be without delicious food?

Before World of Color – ONE at Paradise Gardens Park, you’ll be treated to a special Lunar New Year pre-show!
Hurry Home – A Lunar New Year Celebration is a 6-minute long water show featuring Mulan and friends. It also includes a musical score by Academy Award-winning composer Tan Dun!
Lucky Wishing Wall
Make sure you stop by the Lucky Wishing Wall, which can be found in Paradise Gardens. And be sure to add your own wish for the upcoming year!
