Nightmare Wharf will be in Buffalo in October.  This haunted attraction will be scaring people with haunted houses and screams.  We can help you save money.

Nightmare Wharf transforms Buffalo’s waterfront into a horrifying world of haunted corridors, lurking creatures, suspense, surprises and spine tingling frights.  Fog, special lighting effects and scare actors add an intensity to the activities.

Located on the Buffalo & Erie County Naval & Military Park on the Buffalo waterfront at canalside.  Parts of the event will take place on Navy vessels.  This is a one of a kind setting that cannot be replicated somewhere else.  Your participation in Nightmare Wharf directly supports the preservation of the Park’s historic naval vessels and its broader charitable mission.

Nightmare Wharf has two haunted houses, including

  • Project Blackwater – A classified Cold War experiment has gone wrong.  Emergency procedures were left unfinished.  Those on the ship have changed.  They are no longer human.  They’re aggressive, unstable and are spreading through the ship.  There is nowhere to run and nowhere to hide.
  • The Infected District – A mysterious outbreak has reached the waterfront.  Guests move through narrow alleys overtaken by infection.  Dense fog cuts visibility.

You see only brief flashes of a strange light cutting through the fog, revealing movement for a brief second.  The infected are there but you won’t see them until they’re close.  Whatever you do, do not let them bite you!

The Scare Zone is The Boneyard, an open air midway built among historic military artifacts.  It features themed food and drinks, music and gathering places and roaming entertainment.  The Boneyard is the social past of Nightmare Wharf and guests can take a break there before they return to the darkness.

You can expect an intense, high energy experience with dramatic lighting effects for darkness, loud audio, skilled scare actors and mature themes.  Nightmare Wharf is designed for thrill seekers of all ages who will get a rush from fear.  It was created for dare devils and Halloween enthusiasts.  This may be too intense for younger children.  Parental discretion is advised.

Nightmare Wharf will run from now until November 1, 2026.
