Edited to Add: In 2021, Walt Disney World will not be having the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Instead, there will be a new special holiday event, Disney Very Merriest After Hours. Click here to learn about what it includes & how to save money on it.

Attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Resort during my last vacation in Orlando, Florida was one of the highlights of my trip! It really is a wonderful event for adults and children, and great for everyone who loves Disney, Christmas or just having fun!

There’s a lot of great things going on at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party that I think you’re going to love. Here are 85 reasons why it’s worth the cost (besides the fact you can save money on tickets through Undercover Tourist):

Fireworks makes Disney World Christmas party worth extra costHoliday shows make Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party worth it

There are multiple holiday themed shows that you won’t be able to normally see during regular hours at Magic Kingdom. My personal favorite is the parade; if you want a good spot, get there ahead of time and (provided that no one in your party won’t be able to or shouldn’t stay awake for the whole party) go the 2nd showing because there are less people there:

  1. Mickey’s Once a Christmastime Parade
  2. A Frozen Holiday Wish
  3. Minnie’s Wonderful Chirstmastime Fireworks Show
  4. Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration
  5. A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas
  6. The Edge Effect
  7. Club Tinsel
  8. Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jingle Jam

Rides/Attractions:

Jingle Cruise is very popular at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas PartyShort lines to ride make Mickey's Very Merry Christmas PArty worth it

You can practically walk on to most of these rides.  My parents went on Pirates of the Caribbean and said it was the shortest line they ever had.  Please note that I did experience a wait for Jingle Cruise.  Though not as long of a wait as on other nights when there wasn’t a Christmas party at Magic Kingdom. Your best bet if you want to do as much as possible at the party and Jingle Cruise would be to get a fastpass for the Jingle Cruise on a different day but if you don’t have tickets to Magic Kingdom any other day on your trip, you could try Jingle Cruise during the first parade and then attend the 2nd parade, which has less of attendance anyway.

  1. Jingle Cruise
  2. Peter Pan’s Flight
  3. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
  4. Splash Mountain
  5. Dumbo the Flying Elephant
