Attending Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World Resort during my last vacation in Orlando, Florida was one of the highlights of my trip! It really is a wonderful event for adults and children, and great for everyone who loves Disney, Christmas or just having fun!
There’s a lot of great things going on at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party that I think you’re going to love. Here are 85 reasons why it’s worth the cost (besides the fact you can save money on tickets through Undercover Tourist):
Entertainment:
There are multiple holiday themed shows that you won’t be able to normally see during regular hours at Magic Kingdom. My personal favorite is the parade; if you want a good spot, get there ahead of time and (provided that no one in your party won’t be able to or shouldn’t stay awake for the whole party) go the 2nd showing because there are less people there:
- Mickey’s Once a Christmastime Parade
- A Frozen Holiday Wish
- Minnie’s Wonderful Chirstmastime Fireworks Show
- Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration
- A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas
- The Edge Effect
- Club Tinsel
- Storybook Circus Disney Junior Jingle Jam
Here’s a video from the parade:

Character Meet & Greets:
An awesome thing about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is you have an opportunity to meet Disney characters, some of whom you don’t normally get to meet. Characters appearing for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party include:
- Scrooge McDuck, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck & Minnie Mouse at Fantasyland
- Aladdin & Abu or Jasmine & Genie (They alternate) in Adventureland
- The Seven Dwarfs at Fantasyland
- Jack Skellington as Sandy Claws and Sally at Main Street, U.S.A.
- Pooh & Friends at Fantasyland
- Rapunzel & Flynn Rider at Fantasyland
- Tiana & Naveen at Fantasyland
- Mary Poppins & Bert at Liberty Square
- Ariel & Prince Eric at Fantasyland
- Cinderella & Prince Charming at Fantasyland
- Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum at Fantasyland
- Nick Wilde & Judy Hopps at Tomorrowland
- Aurora & Prince Phillip at Fantasyland
- Snow White & her Prince at Fantasyland
- Moana at Adventureland
- Peter Pan at Adventureland
- Country Bears at Frontierland
- Belle at Fantasyland
- Captain Jack Sparrow at Adventureland
- Princess Elena of Avalor at Fantasyland
- Mickey Mouse at Main Street, U.S.A.
- Santa Goofy at Fantasyland
- Santa Claus at Main Street, U.S.A.
Rides/Attractions:
You can practically walk on to most of these rides. My parents went on Pirates of the Caribbean and said it was the shortest line they ever had. Please note that I did experience a wait for Jingle Cruise. Though not as long of a wait as on other nights when there wasn’t a Christmas party at Magic Kingdom. Your best bet if you want to do as much as possible at the party and Jingle Cruise would be to get a fastpass for the Jingle Cruise on a different day but if you don’t have tickets to Magic Kingdom any other day on your trip, you could try Jingle Cruise during the first parade and then attend the 2nd parade, which has less of attendance anyway.
