Busch Garden Tampa’s newest roller coaster, Iron Gwazi, will officially open on Friday, March 11, 2022!
Iron Gwazi has a hybrid design of wood and steel. This allows the attraction to combine the fun of a classic wooden coaster with the thrills of a steel coaster.
And there are definitely thrills! Guests can enjoy three inversions and a total of twelve airtime moments. The coaster boasts a 206 foot-tall peak, a 91-degree drop, and top speeds of 76 miles per hour. This makes it the fastest and steepest hybrid coaster in the world!
Discount Tickets to Busch Gardens Tampa
Want to plan a visit to Busch Gardens on or after March 11 so you can ride this thrilling roller coaster?

Right now, you can save up to $40 on a single day ticket to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay.

Another way to save is if you get a 2-, 3-, or 4-park ticket.
The 2-day ticket includes any combination of the Florida theme parks (Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Adventure Island, SeaWorld Orlando & Aquatica Orlando). You get 2 visits, which must be made within 14 days of each other. And you’ll only pay $62.50 per park.
With the 3-day ticket, you get 3 visits to any 3 of the Florida theme parks (all made a within 14 day period). This only costs about $50 per park.
And a 4-day park ticket gives you unlimited admission for 14 consecutive days (and free parking) at all 4 of the Florida theme parks. For this, you’ll pay $55 per park.

Iron Gwazi Pass Member Previews
If you’re so excited about riding Iron Gwazi that you don’t think you can wait until March 11, you’re in luck. Pass members can ride between now and March 11 on select dates.
To be a pass member, you need to have an annual pass at one of the levels offered. Platinum, Gold, and Silver Level pass members can ride Iron Gwazi now. Previews start on March 3 for the Bronze members (this is the least expensive tier). All pass options offer 12 months of admission. Depending on the level, you can enjoy other perks such as no blackout dates, free parking, free guest tickets, and more. You can purchase a Busch Gardens Tampa annual pass here.
Fun Card holders can also ride Iron Gwazi early, on March 7 or March 10. A Fun Card is similar to a year long pass, as you get admission through December 31 (with some blockout dates).
