But first, let’s start at the beginning.
Carnival Luminosa History
Carnival Luminosa has an interesting history. It began its life as the Costa Luminosa. The Costa Luminosa would offer guests Eastern Mediterranean cruises where they would stop in places like Greece, Italy, and Turkey.
Later the Costa Luminosa would take guests on a Northern Europe starting in Italy where they would get to stop in ports like Spain, France, Portugal, England, and the Netherlands.
But after ten years of sailing in Europe, the Costa Luminosa began a new life as part of the Carnival Cruise Line. The newly named Carnival Luminosa first set sail from Brisbane, Australia on November 6, 2022. Now it cruises Australia during their summers while cruising from Seattle to Alaska in North American summers.
