Your boat will depart from the Washington Harbor in Georgetown. It is a 45-minute cruise of the Potomac River. Your narrator will point out the top monuments during your cruise. There is also a refreshment bar serving beer, wine, spirits, sodas, and snacks.
The Capital River Cruises depart every hour, starting at 12:00 PM. But make sure you arrive 15 minutes before the departure time.
From now through September, the last tour is at 8:00 PM. But in October, the last tour will be 7:00 PM.
There are no age requirements. This is a family-owned business and this tour would work great on a family vacation. It also works great when visiting Washington, D.C. on a romantic vacation or a trip with friends.
Please note that the boats are not wheelchair accessible. But they are pet friendly. If you are driving, you can park on the street or in a nearby parking garage. If you ride a bike, you may be able to bring the bike on board. Just check with the captain first.
