Disney World Moderate Resort Comparison

If you’re planning a Walt Disney World trip in Orlando, Florida and you’re considering staying on-site, then I’m sure you’d be glad to know that all Disney hotels have certain features which make staying on-site great: a dedicated bus system you can use to get to the parks all day long, extra magic hours that lets you get in the park early or stay late, a fun Magic Band you can use to get in your room, free bus transportation from the airport, etc.  However, past that point, there are different activities that certain Disney hotels have that other Disney hotels do not.  And that’s something you’ll want to know about when you’re deciding between Disney hotels.

So today I’m going to focus on the “moderate” Disney hotels.  These are the five hotels that are not the cheapest but not the most expensive, either.  They are Fort Wilderness, Port Orleans: Riverside, Port Orleans: French Quarter, Coronado Springs and Caribbean Beach Resort.   Pricing wise, Fort Wilderness is the most expensive one; you’ll often find that hotel around $50 or so higher than the other 4 hotels.  Port Orleans: Riverside, Port Orleans: French Quarter, Coronado Springs and Caribbean Beach Resort all typically run around the same price, but you will sometimes see one with a great deal.  To get the best prices, I would book my hotel through Undercover Tourist.  Their prices are often cheaper than what I can get with my annual passholder discount.

So here are some extra features that some of the hotels have and some of the hotels don’t.  You can decide for yourself which feature would make your vacation the best ever or which feature you can live without, and that can help you decide which hotel to stay in.  Also, please note that a lot of these extras do cost extra money on top of your hotel stay.
