Avengers Campus Disneyland Grand Opening
Have you heard about the new addition coming to Disney California Adventure this summer? Yes, if you are lucky enough to be visiting the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, you’ll be able to experience the new Avengers Campus. That is because the grand opening will be happening this summer!
So what is the Avengers Campus?
The Avengers Campus is a brand new section of Disney California Adventure. You can find it where A Bug’s Land used to be. Visitors at Disney California Adventure have already been able to enjoy the Guardians of the Galaxy attraction. But now there will be even more attractions themed to the popular Marvel Universe characters and movies.
Meet and Greets
The basic theme of this section is that the Avengers have set up a campus to recruit the next generation of superheroes. And, as you might expect from a Disney park, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet your favorite Avengers characters. There will be meets and greets with all your favorites. You might be able to get your photo with your favorite character from Black Panther or the Guardians of the Galaxy. Or meet characters like Thor, Loki, Ant-Man, Wasp, Doctor Strange, etc.
Spider-Man Ride
But you also expect rides at Disney parks, right? Well, there will be a new ride themed to Spider-Man! It will be located in the Worldwide Engineering Brigade, a.k.a. “WEB”. During the open house at WEB you’ll be able to test drive their new invention, the “Web Slinger” vehicles. You will get to see what it feels like to be a real superhero when you help Spider-Man collect Spider-Bots with sling webs.
New Ant-Man & the Wasp Restaurant
Another thing you can expect at Disneyland is themed restaurants. So you will be happy to know that there will be an Ant-Man and the Wasp-themed dining experience! This new restaurant is called Pym Test Kitchen. The story behind this restaurant is that Pym Technologies uses its latest innovations to grow and shrink food.
Avengers Headquarters
Hoping to see something iconic from your favorite Avengers movies? Then you’ll be happy to know that the iconic Avengers Headquarters will be part of the Avengers Campus!
Stunt Show
There’s also going to be an Avengers-themed rooftop stunt show! You’ll get to see your favorite heroes perform stage and weapon-combat in this show. Black Widow, Captain America, Black Panther, and Spider-Man will be there along with a villain.
