Pavilion Park is the biggest theme park in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. It combines the thrills of an action park with family-friendly amusement park fun. I want to tell you about some of the fun things you can do at Pavilion Park. I’ll tell you about its location. Then I’ll tell you how you can save money on a visit with a coupon!
Pavilion Park is divided into two main sections: Fun Park and Action Park.
Fun Park Attractions
Broadway 360 Wheel
See great views of the Grand Strand from over 150 feet in the air. This Ferris Wheel has 36 gondolas holding up to six people each, so this is an experience you can enjoy with your family. The Broadway 360 Wheel also features over one million multicolored lights synchronized with music!
The Drop Tower
Go up 65 feet and get great views of Broadway at the Beach and Myrtle Beach…and then fall back down in thrilling fashion!
The Super Happy Swing
The Zamperla, or Super Happy Swing, is a large swing ride holding up to 16 people that adults and children can enjoy.
The Mini Tea Cups
Six tea cups hold four (2 adults and 2 children) on this dizzying ride.
The Samba Balloons
Colorful gondolas shaped as hot air balloons move around in a circle, making guests feel like they are on a hot air balloon ride.
The Monster Trucks
This rides moves similarly to the Samba Balloons where the center of the attraction rotates while vehicles go round and round in a circle. Except this time, instead of being in a hot air balloon in the air, you are on the ground in a monster truck. Kids can feel as if they are driving their very own truck!
The Scrambler
Enjoy a colorful spin on this classic amusement park ride.
The Speedway
Families will enjoy riding in two-racer cars around an oval track.
The Rio Grande Train
This is an old west-style children’s train ride.
The Merry Go Round
This classic amusement park ride features hand-painted Bradley and Kaye horses.
The Myrtle Turtles
A unique family coaster where four cars designed as colorful turtles spin around a bi-level track.
Action Park Attractions
The Beast
This is one of the most extreme pendulum rides in the Carolinas. You’ll be swung 120° in either direction at speeds of 55 miles per hour while spinning 360° and reaching heights of 125 feet!
The Riptydz Slide
If you love mat racer water slides, then you’ll love this dry version, which is actually the largest of its kind on the East Coast.
The Speed XXL
A “Propeller” style with a huge tower and an attached arm, where the arm whips riders through the air at heights of up to 130 feet and speeds of over 50 miles per hour.
The Moonraker 20
A unique spinning platform attraction that spins clockwise and counterclockwise.
The Rock & Roll Express
A circular track ride featuring hills and high speeds.
The Cliff Hanger
Riders lie face down on suspended pods and then glide through the air at thrilling speeds.
The Wave Swinger
A classic swing ride where your swing gets as high as 30 feet in the air, giving you great views of the area around you.
Location
Pavilion Park is located at Broadway at the Beach, a shopping, entertainment, and dining complex that my family really likes visiting. It is within walking distance of the area’s other attractions (like Ripley’s Aquarium) and hotels (like Hampton Inn Myrtle Beach Broadway at the Beach).
