Northern California’s Gilroy Gardens is celebrating Halloween. At night a mysterious glow illuminates the gardens in a spooky – but not too scary – Halloween event. This event is called The Great Big BOO! You can save money when attending the event with a discount ticket you can find here.
One of the highlights is trick-or-treating. Not only do kids love trick-or-treating, but it is a way to let your kid trick-or-treat in a very safe way. Little ones can trick or treat in costume for candy along the Boo Trail. Kids can wear their Halloween costumes to the event, too, to make this as authentic of a trick-or-treat experience as possible!
The event also has live entertainment. Come “Do The Boo” with spooky characters in a live musical show. Meet Wendella the Witch, Vinnie the Vampire and Frankie the Lounge Singer on an adventure to save Halloween.
The event also is reminiscent of classic fall festivals. There’s a pumpkin pyramid in Downtown BOO Alley as well as a hay maze.
Also, who says Christmas is the only holiday with a light tunnel? You can enjoy beautiful lights in the Boo Alley Light Tunnel.
Since this is a theme park, there are rides available. Climb aboard the Boo Train and ride through the BOO-tiful park at night. Wolfgang’s Rockin’ Ride honors Wolfgang the Werewolf. You’ll try to escape Wendella the Witch’s House on the Hill on Wendella’s Wild Ride.
There are foods and drinks available during the event. Adults will want to head to Frankie’s Lounge, which is an onsite bar!
Other attractions at the event include Priscilla’s Perfect Party and Cranium’s Mad Lab.
