Keith Sweat
Keith Sweat is a singer and songwriter. He is credited as being one of the first performers in the music genre called New Jack Swing which was popular in the late 1980s. He’s known for his smooth vocals and beautiful romantic ballads.
His first album, “Make It Last Forever,” sold over 3 million copies. The biggest hit from that album was “I Want Her.” It was Number 1 R&B and Number 5 Pop. It also was the song that started the New Jack Swing Era. The title track from this album hit Number 2 on the R&B charts.
Keith Sweat’s second album, “I’ll Give All My Love To You,” hit Number 6 on the Billboard R&B charts. And his third album, “Keep It Coming,” in 1991 which debuted in the Top 20 on the album chart.
His greatest hits include “Don’t Stop Your Love,” “Twisted,” “Merry Go Round,” “Nobody,” “How Deep Is Your Love,” “Get Up On It,” “Something Just Ain’t Right” and “Right & A Wrong Way.” He won the 1997 American Music Award Favorite R&B/Soul Artist and the 2013 Soul Train Lifetime Achievement Award.
Brownstone
Brownstone is now composed of founding member Nicci Gilbert, Teisha Brown and Arin Jackson. They are best known for their 1994 hit single “If You Love Me.” It was nominated for the Best R&B Performance Grammy Award.
Their greatest hits include “5 Miles To Empty,” “Pass The Lovin;,” “Grapevyne,” “I Can’t Tell You Why” and “Mama Don’t Cry.”
