Formed in 1995, Staind is a rock band from Springfield, Massachusetts. They did extensive touring in the Northeast. Their first album, “Dysfunction,” was released in 1999 followed by “Break the Cycle” which hit Number 1 in 2001. Smash hits, including “It’s Been A While,” ‘For You,” “Fade” and “Epiphany” made them famous. Their 2002 “Unplugged” went gold. They released “14 Shades of Grey” in 2003 and then took a two year break.
Staind is composed of Aaron Lewis, rhythm guitarist, Johnny April backing vocalist, Mike Mushok, bassist, and Sal Giancaretti, drummer. The group has released 8 studio albums and twelve top 10 singles. Staind has sold over 15 million albums worldwide. “It’s Been A While” is one of the most played songs in rock radio history and it spent 20 weeks at Number 1. “Confessions of the Fallen” was released in 2023. It was their first album in 12 years. It debuted at Number 1 on Billboard’s Rock Album chart and had two Number 1 singles.
Breaking Benjamin
Breaking Benjamin is a rock band from Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. It was formed in 1999 by lead singer and guitarist Benjamin Burnley and drummer Jeremy Hummel. They were joined by guitarist Aaron Fink and bassist Mark James Klepaski.
In 2001, Breaking Benjamin’s self released, self titled 5 song EP led to a major label contract. “Polyamorous” was their first single. “Breath” is their biggest hit.
Breaking Benjamin has sold over nineteen million units just in the U.S. They have earned 3 platinum records, 2 gold records, 3 multi-platinum singles, 3 platinum singles and 6 gold singles. They have had 8.5 billion streams globally and a social following of over 6.5 million.
