Are you a fan of the famous Austrian symbolist painter Gustac Klimt? His paintings, murals, sketches, and objets d’art remain popular today. And now you get to experience his artwork in a fun and immersive way at Klimt: The Immersive Experience.
This is a digital art exhibition that will display Klimt’s artworks in ways never seen before. It is projected on two-story screens and enhanced with projection mapping and sound effects in a huge 20,000-square-foot room. It is a unique virtual reality experience. Basically, you’ll feel like you’ve stepped into his arwtork.
And that’s not all. Klimt was famous for his explosve use of the colour gold. And in this exhibit, you’ll get to walk into a 360 degree universe of gleaming gold. You’ll also get a better appreciation for Klimt’s explorations of the female form. And you’ll get to see some of his famous works, like the masterpiece “The Kiss”.
All of this takes place in a 16,000-square-foot warehouse just outside Dublin’s city center. A visit lasts around an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes. It is open from 10:00 AM to 8:30 PM on Monday and Thursday, 10:00 AM to 9:30 PM on Friday, and 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday. Please note that it is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
This is an experience you won’t want to miss. And the sad thing is, if you don’t go soon, you will miss the experience. It is only running through 25 February 2024.
