Why You Should Take a Reindeer and Husky Safari
First of all, Rovaniemi is known as Santa Claus’s hometown. So a reindeer safari seems perfect for anyone planning a Lapland holiday trip.
But even outside of the Christmas season, a reindeer and husky safari is a wonderful way to see the area in a unique way. You’ll go through the snowy woods, which are beautiful. You’ll get to see and learn about reindeer and huskies.
It’s one of those experiences you’ll always remember, and it’s so wonderful when you can have an experience like that on a trip.
What to Expect on the Reindeer and Husky Safari
This is a two-and-a-half-hour experience.
Part of the experience includes visiting a reindeer farm, where you’ll get to learn about these wonderful creatures.
You’ll then get to ride a reindeer-drawn sleigh! You also have the opportunity to pass an exam on handling a reindeer sled. Then you can get a special “reindeer driving license”!
After that, you’ll get to go on an exciting husky-pulled sled ride through the forest.
You’ll cap off this exciting experience with a coffee or sweet hot berry juice. Then you’ll return to Rovaniemi. Hotel pick-up and drop-off are included in the cost of this experience.
