Have you ever seen a Tyrannosaurus Rex? Only in your nightmares or on television or in the movies? Well, now you can see a Tyrannosaurus Rex and one hundred other dinosaurs up close and personal.

Jurassic Quest is returning to Des Moines at Iowa Events Center on March 11, 12 and 13, 2022. This is a prehistoric themed immersive event. Get ready to step back in time and see what it was like when dinosaurs roamed the planet.

Every one of these dinosaurs took months to create. They are made out of layers of foam placed over a metal animatronic frame. Motors inside the dinosaurs make them move.

Leading paleontologists were consulted to make sure the dinosaurs were accurately portrayed in every detail, from textured skin to tooth size to coloration. Some of the dinosaurs have feathers, while others have fur or scales. All of the dinosaurs are incredibly realistic and are true in size and detail.

There is so much to do at Jurassic Quest. Some of the many activities include

  • Science Station
  • Fossil Dig
  • Walking Dinosaur Show
  • Dino Bounce Houses
  • Coloring Station
  • Jurassic Jeeps
  • The Quest
  • Dino Obstacle Course
  • Dino Scooters
  • Craft Station
  • Toddler Petting Zoo
  • Face Painting
  • Airbrush Dinosaur Tattoos

Kids can see what it is like to ride on the back of a dinosaur. The largest dinosaurs give stationary rides while the smaller dinosaurs give walking rides.

The Baby Dinosaur Show is very popular. You’ll meet the lovable Tyson the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Cammie Camarasaurus and Trixie the Triceratops. Play with these amazing life like little creatures.

Walk through the dinosaur experience at your own pace. Go through the Cretaceous, Jurassic and Triassic Periods and learn about the dinosaurs in each. See an authentic Tyrannosaurus Rex tooth and a Triceratops horn.

Visit the Ancient Oceans Exhibit and see the earliest discovered Dolphins and enormous prehistoric Sea Turtles. Marvel at the largest apex predator that ever lived, a moving, life sized 50 foot tall Megalodon.

Take a seat in the Dino Cinema and see entertaining and educational films. Use Green Screen Photography to make it look like your family is riding a Brontosaurus or being chased by a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
