Calling all dinosaur lovers! Jurassic Quest is coming! What, do you ask, is a Jurassic Quest? It is the largest exhibition of life sized animatronic dinosaurs in North America. And it’s coming to the Minneapolis Convention Center ion January 27, 28, and 29, 2023.
Jurassic Quest is the largest event of its kind. This is a self guided event. Take a prehistoric walk on the wild side among over 100 dinosaurs. The Tyrannosaurus Rex will tower over you. You’ll see Brachyceratops, Velociraptors, Troodon, Apatosaurus, Anzu, Pterodaustro and many more.
Each dinosaur was painstakingly reproduced in every detail in collaboration with top paleontologists. These incredibly realistic dinosaurs are true in detail and size.
The dinosaurs are created out of layers of foam that are placed over an animatronic metal frame. There are motors inside each dinosaur and that’s what makes them move. The dinosaurs can turn their heads, swing their tails and some can walk.
The dinosaurs come in all sizes. You’ll see the turkey sized Psittacosaurus which is considered by many to be the cutest dinosaur. Marvel at the Spinosaurus which was the largest predatory dinosaur to ever walk the planet.
Jurassic Quest has a “Triceratots,” which is a soft play area for children under three years of age. There are dinosaur bounce houses and inflatable attractions which require socks. Kids can find out how it feels to ride one of these enormous dinosaurs. There are stationary dinosaur rides and walking dinosaur rides.
You can dig up fossils like a real paleontologist. See real dinosaur fossils dating back over 60 million years.
You’ll enjoy the interactive Baby Dinosaur Show and you can meet the adorable Tyson the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
Visit the Ancient Oceans Exhibit and come face to face with a 50 foot long, moving Megalodon. See underwater creatures, including enormous prehistoric Sea Turtles and the earliest discovered Dolphins.
